Holiday Season!

Here are some highlights:

We got to visit Eugene's family in Sacramento for Thanksgiving. Aunt Tara taught Abby the hokey pokey.

Grandma Sharon bought Abby and her absolutely adorable little cousin matching pj's. Each time I put Abby's jammies on her now she pulls at them and says, "Gwa!"

Getting our Christmas tree. Here's a tip from the Edwards': Rather than pay for a tall tree and cut off lots of branches that you just paid for in order to fit presents underneath, buy a shorter tree and put it on a box. Cover the box with your tree skirt and voila!

First Christmas performance! When the little tykes sing at church for Christmas, the ones and twos get to come on stage and ring the bells. Abby rather liked being on stage and as each song was ending she clapped and shouted, "Yay!"

So, Eugene gave me a present of having a whole day to myself. No lunch time or nap time to hurry back for, I took off shopping! It was so nice to have fun running all over town without any time constraints and not having to keep track of a rambunctious 18 month old. I was at Macy's and saw a navy blue formal in a 2T. Original price tag: $80. Of course I would never spend that on a toddler dress, but it was 50% off and it also had evidence of a previous little owner. So, I took it to the counter and since it was the only one left in that size they gave me another discount and I got it for $32! Which is still more than I spend on my own clothes, but I couldn't resist. I plopped it in the washer at home and it came out beautiful. Since I have trouble getting Abby to hold still long enough for a picture - here is my splurge:
Ready for Christmas!Trying to fit in my decorative sled.

Oh, and I almost forgot. We had two more rough nights of screaming and throwing up and now Abby is back to her normal, happy bedtime routine. I am so thankful that it is over! I think I might need some counseling for PTSD!

"PTSD" you crack me up!!!
The dress is STUNNING! I was oohing and aaawing over it even before you mentioned that you just bought it!
Hey, did Eugene pull back the top of the tree and let go fast to get you all wet? We had fun doing that as kids.
I am so excited to see our girls in their other matching outfits! I have Abby's hanging in my closet (that's the one with the black and white polka dot pants with the pink lace). YAY! Can't wait to see you guys!
