Yes, I realize it has been two weeks since I blogged and I apologize. I really don't have a good excuse other than I just haven't been in the mood. So here is what has been going on in our lives:
The students have vacated the building! The final two left last night. I actually feel a little lonely this time of year. But I do like having 3 washers and dryers for laundry, fewer cars honking (or screaming or barking or howling) as they drive by, no lobby full of guys to walk by in my pj's, no late night wrestling matches over our apartment, you get the idea.
Eugene had a student life staff retreat this week and returned home yesterday. Between end of the school year craziness and the retreat, we have not seen each other much. I am looking forward to this weekend and it is supposed to be beautiful weather :)
Two Saturdays ago Abby and I headed to Fairview and spent the day with my Grandma. We had a really good time and when I pulled out the camera to take some pics, Abby started giving Nana kisses!
Last weekend we celebrated Mother's Day in Gresham. My sister cooked a wonderful meal. In a few weeks we will be moving up the hill to a different (newer) dorm. I am sort of in denial as I have not even started packing!
Abby has started taking a few steps here and there. I think Eugene witnessed 4 yesterday, which would be her record so far. She is really into copying and helping. The other day I was putting my socks and shoes on so she went over to my sock drawer and started bringing me all my socks, one by one. She tries to feed herself with her fork or spoon, tries to unlock the door with my keys, likes putting lids on things, saying "Hi" into the phone and is rather obsessed with e-i-e-i-ooo.
