Abby hit the 8 month mark yesterday. She celebrated with her first illness. Last night she threw up all over herself, me, the rocking chair, the nursing pillow and the floor. I didn't know a little baby stomach could hold that much! This morning she woke up with a runny nose and a congested cough. So, although she loves playing with other babies, we kept her home from church so as not to infect all the other little tykes. She seems a little flushed but my ear thermometer never registers more than 96 and I can't get her to hold still long enough for the underarm one!
Other than upchucking dinner, her recent hobbies include making funny noises with her lips and playing with an object in each hand. She is still working on crawling. I think it is funny when she gets up on her hands and her toes and then just stays there not knowing what to do next! Today she pulled herself up to a standing position for the first time!
