A few weeks ago we started seeing a mouse around the house. However we have not seen it since the day before Mom Bakos came to visit so I assumed it had found a new home. Now I realize it was just being polite to Sharon by disappearing for a week. (Hey, what about me?) On Sunday I went to change Abby's sheets and found mouse droppings in the crib drawer. Then I went to put her pj's on and found droppings in there as well. After laundering all the contents of both drawers and disinfecting them I moved a trap to Abby's room. Yesturday I found more droppings in her crib drawer. We have set every type of trap you can buy, so I am moving on to biological warfare. Last night I went to the store and purchased mouse poison. However the stuff can take 4-5 days to kill these terrorizing little varmits. This morning I went to pull an outfit out of Abby's closet only to notice mouse droppings going up the wall. Seriously, is this mouse for real? I thought only babies had the unique ability to poop on a wall. Then I went to put fruit in some tuperware for my lunch and, yep, all over the tuperware drawer. After coming home from work, spending an hour trying to get an overtired baby to sleep, I went out to the kitchen to begin cleaning and found droppings throughout many of the cupboards and drawers. By this time I'm ready to cry. I'm exhausted from getting up twice last night with Abby, I still have work to do, I can hear Abby waking up after all that work to get her to sleep and now I'm supposed to find time to clean all the contents of my kitchen and launder all the contaminated sheets and blankets? Just then Eugene got home and the wonderful husband that he is helped me out. I am also thankful for dishwashers and disinfecting wipes! However there is still much to do, so I better go. Oh, and Eugene says he does not approve of the picture :)

We caught a mouse by tying swiss cheese with DENTAL FLOSS to those nasty snapper traps...it worked!
