Duck Woman

One thing I love about our new apartment is that Abby can play in the living room while I am in the kitchen. The other night Eugene and I were cooking and looked out in the living room to see this:

Perhaps it's a benefit of growing up on a college campus.

A Day at the Beach

I had some trade time at work, so yesterday I took a day off and we headed to Lincoln City. We stopped at the outlets, had lunch at Mo's and then headed to the sand. Although the marine layer never burned off, it did warm up enough to have fun playing on the beach. Abby took a little while to warm up to the feel of sand on her feet, but once she did she loved it!
Check out the similar expressions in these pictures!

She only had to taste the sand once to be convinced it was not for eating.

Eugene dug a hole for Abby and she thought that was so fun!

So then he dug a bigger hole and she tried to bury herself in it!

Rainy Day Fun

This is the first time it has rained since Abby has been walking well (contrary to popular CA belief it does not rain every day in OR). She thought it was so funny that we were wearing hooded rain coats.

Eugene was writing his annual summer newsletter for the residents and we realized we had not taken a family picture since Christmas. So, thanks to Corey, we updated our album!

Loving Summer

Our friends have membership at a private pool so today we tagged along as their guests. It was great as there was no one else there! Abby loved the little pool, but took a little longer to warm up to the big one.

I was trying to sneak a picture of Eugene reading to Abby at bedtime, but she has become such a little ham that she won't stop smiling whenever the camera is around.

4th of July! We had such a relaxing weekend doing - nothing! Some friends came over Saturday evening and we sat out on the balcony playing games with fireworks off in the distance.

Abby loves to rock. At work, there is a baby rocker that has become one of her new favorite things to play with. Friday I caught her cradling and "singing" to the baby doll and then setting it in the rocker. It was so precious!

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Super Baby

Abby loves toddling around with something draped over her head, especially a towel after bath time. She has also played this little gave for quite a while of how fast can she wiggle out of my arms after bath and take off around the house naked.
